Karama

Karama is another new restaurant that has opened in Frazer Town popularly known for its food joints. The beautiful ambience and brilliant food is enjoyable but the service is deplorable.

Food- Excellent and fantastic. It offers cuisines from Karachi, Punjab and Arabia. Karama is a result of a Joint Venture undertaken by Empire group of Hotels. Between the three cuisines I would recommend the former because this is one of the few hotels in Bangalore that offers authentic Karachi dishes with a right balance of flavour and seasoning. The Arabian dishes cannot beat the taste of Savoury which is much better and is located just opposite across the road. Though the Punjabi dishes are pretty good, there are restaurants serving more sophisticated items from Punjabi cuisine. The starters and especially gravies are lavish, sumptuous and extremely delicious. Kebabs are succulent and appetizing. The juices come in a large jug which is replenishing. Indian Breads are splendid. Incredible desserts. (7/10)

Service- Horribly Slow. Egregious service but courteous and friendly staff.  Long waiting time primarily on weekends, wrong service, delayed orders, huge rush, paucity of space has caused the hotel to lose out on a number of valuable customers. (4/10)

Ambience- Amazing and Spectacular. The entrance of the restaurant has impressive glass showcases decorated and arranged with wonderful dishes that makes one’s mouth water and tummy rumble. Comfortable sofas and multiple seating options some even without a table. Different coloured lamps hang from the ceiling that is phenomenal. Exquisite pieces of glass hookahs are arranged on either side of the dining area. (9/10)

Pricing- Inexpensive. There is great value for money and this place is quite pocket friendly and leaves one delighted. (8/10)

Top Picks/ Recommended- Peshawari Kebab, Ghee Rice, Karachi Naan, Murg Pakiza Tikka, Dabba Gosht, Gajar Ka Halwa and Jalebi-Rabdi

  1. Very well written. A complete and superb review covering all aspects from location to ambience including food and service. I will surely visit this place next time I am in Bangalore. Hope it is not too crowded then and there is improvement in service.
